The UN is supporting the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar in its coordinated response to COVID-19 across the sectors, including the national health sector.
To note, the Seaweed industry is a major income earner in Zanzibar after tourism and cloves and employs over 24,000 farmers of which 80 per cent are women.
