LFI has proven that developing countries can attract both traditional and alternative sources of financing needed to solve their urgent challenges of today. The technical facilitation by LFI helps public funding to go further and minimizes private sector risks so that they can invest in development.
LFI has a portfolio of 117 local development investments in eight countries, worth US$ 162 million. Furthermore, it is a project preparation facility for the US$ 350 million International Municipal Investment Fund (IMIF)1. Its pipeline of municipal resilient infrastructure investments is spread across ten other countries in Africa and Asia.
