UNESCO hand over 1,000 COVID-19 safety kits for journalists to support national COVID-19 response

UNESCO support is to boost the battle against COVID-19 in Tanzania & for safety of journalists, inclusive mainstream and community-based media reporting.
Minister for Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children, Ms. Ummy Mwalimu, said that the country had made a significant step due to the efforts applied by the government in improving health services and construction of dispensaries, health centers and hospitals across the country.
She was speaking after United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) handed over 1,000 COVID-19 safety kits for journalists and they include masks, gloves, sanitizers & other material! To support to national COVID-19 response for safety of journalists and inclusive mainstream and community-based media reporting.
They also handed over tablets for the Ministry of Health Communication team and over 200,000 COVID-19 safety posters for journalists and for the general public!
The materials were donated to boost the battle against COVID-19.
