The Steering Committee Meeting was Co - Chaired by Honorable Brigadier General (Rtd), Emmanuel Maganga and Mr. Michael Dunford, UN Resident Coordinator a.i. and was attended by representatives from Kigoma Regional Secretariat and Local Authorities, UN Agencies, Ministry of

Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation and Development Partners (Norway, Ireland and Sweden).

At the Steering Committee meeting, Royal Norwegian Embassy, represented by Mr. Hans Corneliussen – Counsellor of Political Affairs, handed-over USD 4.3 million (Sh. 9.9 Billion TZS) to support implementation of the Kigoma Joint Programme (KJP).

The Steering Committee meeting was preceded and followed by field visits to ongoing KJP (WASH and Health+) interventions in Kasulu, Kibondo and Kakonko Districts.
